The Society for science development of Serbia is founded in 2012 as a non-profit public professional organization focused on research development and investment in Serbian education, as well as promotion in the fields of engineering and technology. The Society is highly dedicated to encouraging and supporting scholars, early-career researchers, members, and professionals in conducting and completing research that will ultimately benefit community development and research quality enhancement. The Society's mission is to promote scientific and engineering research that will improve the economic and social well-being of people all over the world.
The main activities of the Society:
1) an international forum for the development, implementation,
and critical evaluation of scientific research;
2) to maintain a program of high-quality publication and knowledge exchange;
3) to encourage scientific communication or debate among scholars and
researchers from various scientific backgrounds and from multidisciplinary
perspectives on scientific-related issues;
4) to increase global public interest and visibility in methods, findings,
and applications developed through research in various fields.
The Society provides powerful fundraising tools to organizations that argue for science
and technology, allowing them to focus on their mission rather than administration.
SCOM is the new home for all technology-related materials applications research, with a special emphasis on advanced materials design, manufacturing, and integration, as well as novel materials-based technologies. Topics covered include but are not limited to: energy, healthcare, electronics, optics, microfluidics, sensors, food safety, etc. The aim of this conference is to bridge the gap between fundamental research and industry.
The SCOM conference, organized by the Society for Science Development of Serbia and the Vlatacom Research and Development Institute, will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, from October 16th to 18th, 2024.
The official language of the Conference is English. The Conference will be held in the workshop format, with invited lecture sessions (including lectures from experts in the field) and oral presentations. The total time allocated for presentations is 25 min for Invited lectures and 15 min for Oral presentations. The conference registration fee includes: admission to all Conference sessions, conference material, lunches, and coffee breaks according to the scheduled program, a welcome party, and an official Attendance certificate.

The 7th International Conference on the
Physics of Optical Materials and Devices
The Organizing Committee invites you to the 7th International Conference on the Physics of Optical Materials and Devices (ICOM2024). The conference will be held in Montenegro, from the 26th to the 30th of August 2024, and is organized by the Society for Science Development of Serbia (Serbia), IRCP Chimie ParisTech (France), and Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg (Germany).
The ICOM 2024 Conference brings together scientists and technology users who investigate or develop materials for optical applications. The conference presents the state of the art in preparation methods, optical characterization, and usage of optical materials and devices in various photonic fields.
The 4th International Conference on Phosphor Thermometry
The Organizing Committee invites you to the 4th International Conference on Phosphor Thermometry (ICPT2024). The conference will be held in Montenegro, from the 26th to the 30th of August 2024, and is organized by the Society for Science Development of Serbia (Serbia), IRCP Chimie ParisTech (France), and Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg (Germany).
The ICPT 2024 Conference addresses all aspects of temperature measurements using thermographic phosphors including thermographic phosphor synthesis, characterization and calibration; Measurement technique development, instrumentation and data processing; Applications in industry, fundamental research and biomedicine.
The 6th International Conference on the
Physics of Optical Materials and Devices
ICOM 2022 brings together scientists and technology users who investigate or develop materials for optical applications. The conference presents the state of the art in preparation methods, optical characterization, and usage of optical materials and devices in various photonic fields.
The ICOM 2022 Conference which is to be held in Belgrade, Serbia, from 29th of August to 2nd of September 2022, is organized by the Society for science development of Serbia, IRCP Chimie Paristech (France), and CEMHTI Orléans (France).
The 5th International Workshop on Persistent and Photostimulable Phosphors
IWPPP-5 meeting after previous editions in 2011 (Ghent, Belgium), 2013 (Guangzhou, China), 2015 (Arlington, USA), 2018 (Beijing, China), is joining the ICOM Conference in 2022 and will be organized by Society for science development of Serbia, the IRCP-CNRS ChimieParisTech, Paris (France), and the CEMHTI Orléans (France).
IWPPP-5 workshop is related to a subfield of luminescence research dealing with persistent phosphors. Persistent luminescence is a specific type of luminescence for which the emission is delayed - for hours or even days - beyond the normal radiative lifetime of the luminescent center.
